Production Description of Realho Stone

Today, most terrazzo stone is manufactured in blocks. The ingredients are mixed in a vacuum chamber, then poured into a block mould. The mixture is then vibrated to eliminate air bubbles. Next, the blocks are left to dry until they are fully strengthened. This process, called curing, takes up to a month with cement agglomerate terrazzo, while resin terrazzo takes a little longer. After the blocks have cured, they are either cut into standard-sized tiles or carved into 3d forms.

Its use dates back to ancient Egypt.Unlike other types of natural stone flooring, terrazzo has been manufactured using cement to make it more durable. Terrazzo is a composite material, made from small fragments of stone. The pieces are held together by a cementitious or polymer adhesive. They may be honed, polished, or sandblasted, depending on the desired look. It can be used for countertops, tables, artwork, and wine holders.
